What's the best car I can get and also the cheapest? I'd like to be decently fast, and have alot of after market support for when I get more money into and such. Thanks for the help. I'll be driving in 2 months.

Buy something cheap and common (Civic/Accord/Corolla/Camry, or maybe a Kia), so when you wreck it, nobody is upset about it.

I want a car with 1000 whp, room for 8, looks hotter than a aston martin vanquish, handles better than a lotus esprit, and costs less than $10k.

figure out how much you want to spend, then go car shopping with your total in mind. Take the car to a mechanic if you're buying used before you purchase it.

1996 civic coupe, with fart-can muffler, 20" chrome blades, and boy-racer graphics. 0-60 slower than a stock civic of that vintage due ot how much more the wheels weigh. but, hey, at least it gets you skanky asian girls.

Then throw a big brake kit on to add about 100 ft to your 70mph brake test

Here's the best thing you can do for yourself and your parents... Forget about "aftermarket". Everything you are likely to spend money on at your age is worthless.

All depends what you're looking for - what you value in a car, etc. The following cars are not good for dash strokers or import fanboys, but are probably your best bet if you want to go fast for cheap and don't mind a plastic interior.

Fast, cheap cars w/excellent aftermarket support =
1979-1992 V8 Mustang,
1982-1992 V8 Firebird / Camaro,
1990 - 1994 Plymouth Laser, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon (TSI AWD turbo is best, if you can find one).

These cars are not really "fast" out of the box by today's standards, but can be put into the 12s in the 1/4 mile (and beyond) with widely available bolt-ons. You can find these cars for sale for next to nothing, also.

why the hell do you want aftermarket crap? At your age, just drive safely, and learn to drive safely.

Well I figured, if I'm going to get a cheap car, I'd just add to it later on. I'm defently checking out the scion stuff though. Thanks for thehelp, from the people that were actually helpful, and not judgemental.

cars are not computers. they are expensive to maintain and you can possibly kill yourself (and more importantly, other people as well) if you don't drive carefully. get a used car and learn how to drive.

Don't forget to factor in auto insurance.

If you're 18 or under = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

2006 Z06 Corvette - Supercar performance at a luxury car price. Seems like a bargain to me at $65k...if I had $65k to spend on a car.

To the OP, keep this in mind, however, price out insurance plans with a $500 deductible, it'll bring it down a LOT even with full coverage!
