Maybe I missed this, but is the card good on online purchases or just in-store?

Not good for online purchases.

Yup. The card is ten bucks a year. You only get the 5k bump the first time according to the flyer I got in the mail.
So after the first year, you have to pay 250 bucks to get your money back, and get this - THE FIVE BUCKS HAS TO BE USED ON A 10 DOLLAR OR HIGHER PURCHASE. So, yeah, you even have to spend more money to use the reward. It isn't a gift card you get.

The card isn't for everyone. Its more or less designed for people who make large purchases or people who visit the store every week and buy stuff...

whats that? Best buy has something to encourage sales? Cool... oh, you have to pay for it... why dont they fire their nasty-@ss CS reps at the desk, and hire new ones, who will read the price match policy, let you return stuff from other stores, use gift cards on open box items, and stop making up shizit to piss you off...

BTW: that same nasty CS lady wouldnt give me my 2 hard drives until she gave me the 10 minute schpiel on the reward zone... and i was buying the drives on a University PROCUREMENT card... kept telling her, Its fraud to profit from the university's business.... but NO, she wont give me the bags... not until she reads me the entire brochure..... I'm like "look lady, i cant do it, plus you already rang these up, and i do most of my shopping online."

my $.02... and whoever it was who worked at BB, dont complain when you get ranked on... you came in here and tried to convince us that BAstARD Buy was just wonderful!
