Hmmmmmm, I have the choice between 3 video cards right now,

GeForce (MX?) 4000 16mb
Ati Rage 128 (16mb?)
Voodoo 3 16mb.

Which would perform the best out of all of them? Thanks.

mx is bottom tier of the geforce (2,3,4), so if its not an mx, it would be a ti, which is even better. rage and voodoo 3 are about equivilant to geforce 2s

From your info it could be a plain Geforce 256. Id still go with the NV card due to driver support and im also pretty sure that card is even faster then the Voodoo 3. I know it fully supports DX7 and im pretty sure the Voodoo 3 does not. Im also thinking its faster then the Rage128 but im not 100% sure on any of the speed ratings i gave these 3 cards, just somewhat sure.

With only 16MB of RAM, it seems more likely that the card you are looking at is a TNT2.

Um, no. Not at all.

For 3d, they all suck horribly.

However, for 2d, use the Voodoo3. Not counting Matrox, only the most recent video cards have sharper outputs.

Hands-down the NVidia card. Neither of the others are supported by drivers any more, and any GeForce card is several generations newer in 3D performance than either of those other cards too. Heck, even a TNT1 is an improvement over an ATI Rage128, and probably about even with a V3 performance-wise, with the addition that it can support 32-bit color and 3D-in-a-window support.

Edit: Forgot, the GeForce also supports hardware T&L, a required feature of most modern games. The other two do not.
