Best KT266A board? (no overclocking required)

I'm looking for a good, STABLE, KT266A board. My choices right now are Giga-byte or Asus. Only suggest those brands as I've had them before and they've been fairly good.

RAID isn't required, actually, neither is IDE, because I have a SCSI adapter. I don't need onboard sound or NIC, my PCI versions are superior to anything integrated on the M/B.

I'm a MSI freak.

So I'd suggest the MSI board. I've had a lot of MSI boards and all run perfectly stable right out of the box.

Well not that I want to sound like I'm tooting my own horn b/c I own an 8KHA+, but it sounds like its got what you need. 6 PCI slots will allow you to fit all your cards, and you don't need the extras that you would be paying for with the Asus, Soyo, and Abit boards. I don't think the early BIOS problems can be denied b/c they were so widespread, but the latest boards should have no problems. I'm running a board with an "L" BIOS with no problems, even though its supposed to be a "problem chip." Order from NewEgg and you're almost guaranteed a board with the N+ "fixed" BIOS. Its running rock solid for me OC'd with a full loadout of components, I don't see why it would be any different at default The other "no frill boards" are the Shuttle AK31, the Gigabyte, and the MSI K7T266 Pro 2. I haven't heard a thing about the Gigabyte, and that may be something to consider in the way of trouble-shooting and comparisons on this msg board. The MSI supports USB 2.0 I believe, which is a nice feature if you can utilize it.

Will check it out. I want to use an ATI AIW Radeon, Adaptec U160 SCSI, CL Audigy and Firewire card with it.
