I think the bias against Tomshardware is affecting your rational judgement. If you check the Via website, you will note that they do not claim USB 2.0 support:

It is up to motherboard manufacturers to decide what level of USB they want to support and how to implement it. Gigabyte clearly states on their specs (
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/products/7vrx.htm) that there is USB 2 controller chip on their GA-7VRX motherboard, the VIA VT6202 USB 2.0 controller. This would not be necessary if the KT333 chipset had USB 2 support.
Some manufacturers using the KT333 do not have USB 2. support, for example the MSI KT3 Ultra:

So, Tomshardware is in fact correct.
I am not pro or anti Tomshardware, I just use it as one of many sources of information that are available. davqb, dfloyd, when you make arrogant refutations which are based on your incorrect opinions, you completely undermine the credibility of those opinions.
