Best Media Player??

When I built my system and installed all the goodies I learned how ATI, Creative, Mother MS, Plextor, etc. wanted to run my machine and control media play (cd's, dvd, mp3, etc.). Unfortunately it seems Mother MS has an edge and instinctively works better (plays cd's on my plextor drive which creative doesn't wan tot play). I dislike Mother MS as too big and intrusive but whats a guy to do?

for cd's and mp3's i use winamp, and for dvd's i use powerdvd 3. works great for me. for video's like mpegs and avi's, i still use media player 6.4.

Will Winamp find all my cd cdrw drives? creatives Playcenter doesnt pick up audio cd's in my Plextor drive, but MS MP does. I've looked in the control panel and thought I had all the right buttons pushed but no go.

media player 6.4 is great if you download alot of porn movie cos it allow you to open mutiple player but not with the latest one
