best sedan under 30k??

My parents are looking to buy new and willing to spend up to 30k. They drove a Maxima, Camry, and Altima. Any ideas on anything else to drive and what would be the best car under 30k?

Hondas have insane resale values, have them check out Accords. At one time, they were on the 10 most stolen list, so your insurance might be a bit higher if they still are.

my dad just bought a Saab 93. it's very very very very very nice. have your parents check it out, they might like it.

You could almost get an Acura TL-S for that.

I'd also at least *look at* the VW Passat.

I would take a Mazda6 over all of those. If their limit is 30k they should consider a Saab 9-3, Audi A4, and VW Passat as well - BMW 3-series might be available too.

Your question is rather vague so it's kind of hard to make a specific recommendation. Personally, I'd probably go for an Infiniti G35. Might be a touch over $30K depending on the options, though.

There's a reason the Mazda6's aren't selling as good as predicted. They suck.
I say go with a 3.5L Altima. You can get an 03 for under sticker easy, as it's time to get ride of remaining inventory as the 04's start showing up.
