Best Socket A cooler?

I'm currently sitting on a Thermaltake Volcano 7 as my CPU cooler, with a replacement 2500rpm fan (the stock one was waaay to loud).
My CPU (mobile Barton 2500+ overclocked) idles quite high in the current weather, about 20c above case temps, around 50~54c, and under load it's not above 60 AFAIK.

I'd like something a little better (bigger fan would be the obvious choice), but things like the XP90/7700 are 754 and upwards only

Are there any 90/92mm Socket A coolers which aren't too loud and offer decent cooling?
My other option is to get an adapter to allow me to put a 92/120mm fan on the current heatsink onstead of the 80mm fan it has at the moment.

SLK-900U - 92mm capable, all copper, bolt-through design

SLK-900A - 92mm capable, all copper, 3 prong-hook design

I also think the SP-94 or SP-97 were slightly better that the above 2.

I use the SLK-900A with a 92mm Panaflo L1A on my Socket A System.

I can personally vouch for the Thermalright SP97 heat sink I have it on a mobile 2400 and it has never went above 44C under full load with no AC in the room.. with AC on or during the winter it usually stays at 39-40C under full load...you could also go with Therlmalright SI-97 or SI-97A...I believe all these heatsinks support 90-92mm fans....and if quiet is what you want a good panflo fan is hard to beat...also make sure to use some Artic silver 5 on those heat sinks. Hope that helps Lonyo

I can find the SLK-700 and SI-97, but not any of the others
I would love any of the 4 you listed, but I haven't managed to spot them anywhere

Is the Zalman 7000B any good as an alternative option?
The all Alu of the SI-97 turns me off a bit, and the SLK700 is the step down from the SLK900 so I don't want to go for that either.

The Zalman will require you to take out your motherboard, as would any bolt-through heatsink, but it'll cool your CPU very well.

CPU City is a nice place, ordered from them ~4 times without hassle.

EDIT: SLK900U at Tekheads - Used them once without problem.

Cheers.
I went for the SLK900U in the end, seemed to offer probably decent performance, without being too expensive. Just have to hope my order goes through (card issues).

Which way round should the fan go on the SLK900?
On my current HS I turned the fan round (so it does the opposite of what it did before, not sure it it sucks or blows now), and the temps went down a couple of degrees.

The 92mm Panaflo L1A on my Thermalright SLK900A is blowing air directly onto the Heatsink itself.

Not sucking air away.
