Best Video card for about $100?

I know nothing about video cards but I do know that the on board GEForce 6150 video card that come with my asus a8n-vm sucks.

I'm looking to spend about $100, maybe here or eBay. I don't do any heavy gaming at all, only games I play would be Age of Empires III, Dungeon Siege Series and Never winter night series. I do watch video a lot on the computer, but everything's smooth so far even with the onboard.

Anyways what would be the best video card for my price area?

I'd gladly supply additional info if needed.

Should you have NWN2 in mind (scheduled to release in two weeks), your sub-$100 choices are limited to 7600 GS' when on sale (those usually being priced around $115, I think), or the X1600 Pro. Nothing else in your price range is supported, unless you backtrack to year before last and get an X700. Mostly, you'll find that nVidia prices their Medium Quality cards higher than ATI does.

Does who make the video card matter, like sapphire, ati etc?
I'm in canada so Can't use newegg, so when I ebay or try Tigerdirect.ca i get different manufacturers.

I think my options of buying is limited to eBay, for sale/trade here or Tigerdirect.Ca. Any suggestions based on those options?

i remember newegg having a 7600gt for about 112 after 20MIR

that's a step up from the x850. of course, the x850 is perfect for your needs as well.

The X850XT for $120 is about the best your going to do & will actually beat out a 7600GT in many benchmarks, however it does so while using more power & creating more heat & noise too, plus image quality will not be quite as good.

Looks like the x850 xt sounds really good. Since I can't buy it from Newegg (canada), is this eBay one the same? It's by ATI

The E-Bay one looks fine & in fact if the picture is accurate is a "Built by ATI" model so RMA support should be much better then Sapphire which is the model for $119 on Newegg.

If you are comfortable buying it from Ebay then go for it.
