What's the best video card in the $100 range? Also, what's the best ~$130 vid card with decent cooling (quiet)?

cheap and quiet doesn't come without performance compromise. use ATI tray tools. you can control the fan that way. Just limit the card to your audible tolerance. And don't expect much for $100.

Get this, and get the equivalent utility (RivaTuner?) and you can do the same for limiting the noise.

also if you wanted to get DX10 you could check out the 8600 series I think there going for $160-$200.

For under $100, this is a steal (7600GT)

For about $140, this is a great buy (7900GS) or if you prefer an AMD branded card, then this is a great deal (X1950PRO)
