Best video card

I'm finally going to build my first PC and was a little stumped on the video card I should get. I've already ordered a E4300 dual core processor and a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 (REV. 3.3) motherboard. I'm going to be getting the 2 gigs of the Transcend Transcend JETRAM DDR2-800. I'm kinda stumped on the video card I should get. I'm not planning on doing any hardcore gaming and maybe just older games from around 2005. I was planning on getting something like the XFX PVT86JUAF3 GeForce 8500GT. I'm also kinda clueless on the case, the power supply and whether i'll need a heatsink. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance !!!

Here are my final three.....i think. I'm looking for something with a heatsink and a fan, so I guess I'm still open for any suggestions and comments.

Your last two links are duplicates. I don't have experience with any of those, but I'd go with the newer tech.

I would highly recommend passively cooled video cards in that price and power range, no unnecessary noise and no chance of fan failure.

Here are a couple options from Gigabyte.

The PSU is also a very important component, it supplies power to everything in your PC so it's something you don't want to overlook. While having adequate power is important generally it's quality over quantity when it comes to PSUs. That is a high-quality 350 watt PSU is far more useful than a mediocre 500 watt unit.

Since you looking a pretty low-end system in terms of power draw this 300 watt Forton-Source would be a good choice. For a bit more the 330 watt Seasonic S12 is one of the best units around though it's currently out of stock at Newegg.

As for the case I'm partial to Lian Li, the PC-7B is very nice case and pretty good deal at the moment.
