Best way to unfreeze bread?

Did anyone read this as best way to unfreeze a bead?

I mean given the top of the search cloud, cold weather, people broken down and alone in cars with only foreplay to generate heat once the car runs out of gas...

And why are you buying bread from the supermarket? The best bread is the home baked kinds. Everyone knows this. (P.S. make sure you add extra wood chips for extra fiber)

It depends. I hate pre-sliced white bread, so I usually keep some crusty rolls or bread around. If I have extra I'll wrap it in heavy-duty foil and freeze it.

To thaw I put it in the oven at a low temp until the interior is 125F or so as determined by an instant reading thermometer.

You can't tell the difference between it and something you just bought.

Since I live alone I can't manage to eat a whole loaf of bread on my own before it expires, which is usually only a couple days.

I don't like to eat frozen bread. Just wanted to comment that with bread you should get 7-10 days before the expiration. If not then find a different store or be more careful checking the dates when you buy it. It's better to buy your bread mid-week rather than on the weekends, because that's when the fresh stuff gets put out.

For toast or grilled cheese, there's no need to "unfreeze" it. The toaster or frying pan will take care of that.

we freeze bread all the time.

when we are low i take it out and set it on teh counter. the next day its as good as new.

When youre down to half a loaf, take out the frozen bread and set it on the counter.

No shenanigans needed.

Freezer --> refrigerator for several hours. Of course, this requires advance planning.

Nuking bread, in any state, is a horrible idea.

There are a few viable options above. Try each and report back.
