I'm moving into a house where I want to drop internet in the office (upstairs) and access the internet from the basement where my TV and other devices will need internet access.
I saw this D-Link Combo:
Router: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833127258
Access Point: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833127256
While the access point gets decent reviews the router does not.
I'm sorry I'm out of the loop on current technology for Wireless routers/AP's and I don't have time to research. It seems like these benefit from using two freq bands where one is used to communicate between the Router and AP.
I'm hesitant to buy the router as it gets very poor reviews for some on signal strength.
Is there a combination you can recommend? Do I even need to worry about "pairing" up the access point with the router or is a standard bridge and access point sufficient?
