Please, dont be a hater. IT worked. I am not special needs, I am not talking about BF1942.
I ran it max settings with 256mb of ram, Nvidia GeForce 2 MX 400, and P4 1.7ghz processor fine, omnly stutter when i reload

It did. I had a screenshot, but that was on the hard drive before I wiped it and built this computer. You pansies always go by the facts and rules, but guess what, IT RAN IT, so suck it.

Anyway, This worked - I had no issues, and the cashier didn't even blink, so I take it she has seen them come through already.

nice try, you are required to have at least have a GeForce 5700 (at least a R8500 on the ATI side). 1GB of ram is fine, but don't expect snappy load times or completely smooth frames - especially if you're running higher settings.

Video card must have 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets:

* NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or greater
* ATI Radeon 8500 or greater

^ straight from EA

you need one of those cards because the game requires no less than PS1.4 I believe it is (DX8.1). The GF2 is a DX7 card, even DX8 (note, not 8.1) cards such as GF3/4 and 5xxx below 5700 can't run run it at all.

And while I do like BF2, EA quality control is complete rat $hit!
They cannot release (or patch) a stable game to save their life. Their tech support consists of an endless stream of emails that result in a runaround.
Quake, Unreal Tournament, and HL2 have a good track record compared to the Battlefield series.

I refuse to buy any of the expansion packs until EA and DICE shape up.
