It might run on 512mb of RAM if you're running dual 7800 GTX with 512mb DDR3 in SLI...

But in all honesty, if you're running on 512mb of RAM, you're not experiencing the game the way it was designed... 4xAA, high resolution etc.

Use the $30 that you save on the game to upgrade your memory to a gig.

There is single player mode too...but the AI is a little stupid (meaning, it's pretty easy compared to humans) and there are no campaigns. It's strictly capture the flag. If you're wanting a game with campaigns to beat, look elsewhere...this is a round by round multiplayer with single player mode if you want to practice flying, driving, etc....without worrying about losing rank points.

screw that. I prefer to practice flying on ranked servers making sure there is a co-pilot to kill as well

I ran it max settings with 256mb of ram, Nvidia GeForce 2 MX 400, and P4 1.7ghz processor fine, omnly stutter when i reload.

Um, You *must* be talking about BF1942. A GF 2 is not only not powerful enough to run this game at full options, it is incapable of it.

I just got back from Bestbuy - worked great! (I got the CD Version)

Clerk was a little hesitant and asked me where I got the coupon - I shrugged and said "Online".
