Basically they need more cash from the users to do anything correctly. I dont play Fallout 76 so all the scandals are amusing to me but not personal.

While the game itself is finally at the point where it could be considered a 'release candidate' the practices by Bethesda have turned most users away months and months ago.

The reviews of the latest release on Steam are what you'd expect... totally divided. I played for a couple of hours last night since it was already in my library but it still feels barren and lifeless. I was honestly surprised to see as many people on there as there were but I gotta figure they're either 1. doing what I'm doing and just seeing what the devs added or 2. they are the die hard Fallout ppl that are still somehow convinced it will be great at some point.

I don't even know where I stand, personally. On one hand I'm in awe at how bad Bethesda handled this game but on the other I really like the Appalachia map and Fallout in general. It's a very strange game though; I can't recommend or not recommend because it's sort of like a big experiment dressed up as a AAA game (but with the addition of a full price and microtransactions that are insulting).

Fallout 76 was a wasted opportunity. There's no story-driven single-player experience. Bethsoft really needed a prequel (Fallout 4 is over 200 years after the war for crying out loud). They botched it.
