Mike was already cringy. But when I saw Tuco, I had to roll my eyes. I mean is the town made of up 20 people?

Characters seem the same in the Spanish version but I'm not sure it will have the same feel because some things may be done differently. Obviously they may have someone playing Saul and the other guys but their behavior could be very different than breaking bad.

Except you of all people should know that, because this part is the prequel, Mike is still Mike the contract killer/fixer, probably just out of jail and forced to take the first job near his parole officer that would hire a guy with a record. He will soon "graduate" from his "menial role."

I'm hoping we get a whole side story with Mike and Gus.

I think that's my point, since I have no idea whats going on in this new show. Clearly I missed something. Who was the guy at the beginning in black and white? Who is the guy in the blacked out house (no power?)? Who the heck are all these random people? Whats going on? Is this before or after Breaking Bad? Didn't everybody die in that show? I do recall this main character Saul, but I don't really remember what happened with him.

Overall I guess I'd have to say Breaking Bad was a very forgettable show, and this new one is just confusing as heck. I can't tell if it's related to Breaking Bad, before or after, or if it's something else. I'm not even sure exactly what the plot of the first episode was. Saul is poor? Knows some random people, is a lawyer, and wants to make money. Was that it?

I'll watch Ep. 2 and maybe 3, but if they don't explain/clarify things and make it more interesting it wont be watchable for me. But maybe ATOT can correct these things, and then I can properly appreciate this show for whatever it is.

You have a right to your opinion, but it's not an easy one to give credence to, given that the audience and critics have more or less unanimously anointed Breaking Bad one of the greatest shows ever broadcast, and possibly the greatest.

I am not understanding how, if you watched Breaking Bad, you are laboring under any confusion about who Saul is, or why his story would be interesting. The show just ended last year (in what was probably the most exciting and memorable final season of any show, ever) - it's not as though you are being asked to recall core plotlines from Dynasty or something.

If you simply disliked Breaking Bad, why watch this when it is essentially more of the same, albeit from a different narrative perspective?
