What is with all the complains on how people play the game?
It is WAR, stay alive and kill the enemy.

What do you want, every one line up in the open and let you execute them?
Or how about they all highlight and glow like the Deus Ex HR?

It is more like, that picture is making fun of what the majority do, and it is damn true. Each spot that is marked on that map with some comment is spot on. Victory crawl has gotten me that MCOM near it many times cause 9 out of 10 times I go that way there is nobody, or maybe one dude with a sniper rifle lol.

I can't tell you how many kills I've gotten tossing a grenade in that little bushy rockpile at the end of that victory crawl. There's usually 1 or 2 guys hiding there at any given time waiting to take out victory bushers. lol

I just thought it was funny because it was pretty apt about what the different areas get used for. I don't care how anybody plays their game as long as they don't cheat and try to achieve the objectives if there are any.

So I will continue to hate Snipers always, but the starting semi-auto rifles without scopes are very good. I've picked up Recon as a secondary to Engineer for that reason. It reminds me of the M1 Garand in WW2 games - solid power that kills in 2-3 hits. I've done quite well with an aggressive iron sights recon. I'm not quite as gung-ho as when I am engineer, but I don't "Snipe" like the scopers do.

I've been using the bolt action sniper with iron sights and dominated with it. The actual scopes just obscure your vision.

I personally love this game. I have no problem seeing people though, and no crashing problems. Battlelog works great and loads fast.

The only issues I had were when the maps were not resetting properly and people were falling through them.

I've always been very good at FPS games and I have no problem making terrible players rage in this game. Going like 75-15 every round you play gets people quite angry. The people who complain about dying instantly when they come out of cover so they lay inside bushes need to realize that there are people like me who are just walking around out in the open out shooting them. Laying in a bush gets you no where in any game ever made. You may get me once, but then you are dead as soon as I respawn.

Does anybody here know if the 6x Rifle scopes glint like the sniper rifle scopes do? I am thinking they do, but hard to tell really. I see very few people using them.

Battlebush 3

Anyone getting errors when trying to do the quick match? First it says "No game matching your filter settings" but I havent changed the filter. Then it goes in an endless loop of "A generic game error was reported, please try again. ( code: 1 )"

Yeah you can change it but you have to use the program notepad++.

Are you on the 285 beta drivers? On the 280 driver I had the same issue with continuous crashes after about 5 minutes of game play. Once I switched to the beta drivers it stopped completely and I haven't had a crash since.

Yes Im using 285.38 beta drivers. Sometimes I can play for 30 minutes, sometimes it repeatedly crashes after 5 seconds.

I prefer Pronefield 3.

Out of the two i like Battlebush 3 good stuff man :awe:

Never pull 0/9 or 0/11 in BC2 as prone nor the million bush's are in that game and i dominate usually on that game.

Shows how much i know when i walk near some isolated bush far away from the action and someones still there .

Whats awesome i pulled a 43/2 on a map of BC2 earlier as a gunner in a copter and everyone was like copter gunner turn off your aimbot...:awe: Friendly cant help but spotting them you can't help but not see red triangles and not wanna fire at them and get those points racked up while rank 50 vets rage .

With the best pilot i ever had the pleasure of being with,i wish i could pull that more often

Love:

- Gameplay, its similar to bad company 2 which i liked a lot, i havent got much to say about the gameplay its just like i hoped it would be, no unnecessary BS added, nothing taken away. I hate it when devs try to minimize the UI and decide you don't need to see how much ammo you have until you fire the gun etc, none of that has happened here so im glad. Jumping over stuff works the same as BC2 and shows your legs now which is a cool touch.

- Graphics are good, to be honest i would be satisfied if it looked like bad company 2, its going to have much larger maps so graphics arent that important anyways gameplay is, that said the graphics look good and run well on high with a single 5850. I dont know what FPS i got but my friend with a 5750 (half the power of a 5850) got ~30 FPS and he is on a Q6600 so i assume i got ~60+.

- Didnt crash.... yet!

Hate:

- Origin... okay to be fair initially it seems not bad, the UI is decent and it has similar functionality to steam but there lies the problem, i dont need another fking steam, that's impulse, steam and now origin i need to run in order to play certain games. Why cant they just work something out with valve on steam? Bad company 2 is on steam! Gabe seems like a reasonable guy why another thing that needs to be run in order to play the goddamn game. Origin isnt gonna fly in the long run, steam is too well entrenched and its not like valve is an evil empire either they are well respected by gamers and many have piles of games on steam, too many to move to another platform. I am not a fan of this BS at all.

- Web based game plugin thing? What the feck? I really hope this crap is just beta and the real game will have a proper in game server browser like BC2 and not require a browser plugin like battlefield play for free.

- Flashlights.... seriously? They blind me in broad daylight ive learned to just shoot the flashlight which works well but its really annoying, excellent tool for the griefers actually as it seems allies can blind other allies.

- That thing that happens when you aim down the sights at a window or near cover, just let me aim down the sight like normal! FFS.

Overall
- Much potential! Fix flashlights, scratch the web based thing and use steam and itll be the perfect game, i can learn to live with origin but ill never buy anything from it, BF3 is the single exception. Steam is the standard and if EA cant accept that, their loss.

Battlelog is here to stay. Apart from having Origin open to actually launch the game via Battlelog, I don't understand why there's so much dislike about it. Is it just resistance to chance?

If they would have spent all the time working on battlelog and the plugin and crap they could have made a decent in game browser and had everything else in game as well like squad stuff.

Battlelog is great if you want to go jerk off to your stats and look at future fap sessions while not in the game, but as the game launcher and crap, no thanks. It is already proven to be a security risk twice, once where with chrome you can by pass password servers and now with these hacked servers and being able to possibly steal your account info.

The initial presentation was really unimpressive, joining games through your web browser, and I found the game really frustrating at first, but having played it more I'm pretty happy with it. My battlefield experience includes bf1942 for a SHORT time since it had lag issues and 2142 which I thought was decent - BF3 looks like a pretty big improvement to me. I want to play the other game modes.

After playing a bit of the beta, I'm going to sit this one out for a bit and see what others think after the full release. I like Battlefield, but something about this iteration just isn't sitting well with me.

I dont see why a game needs all this additional crap to run, it just smells of cutting corners. Needing origin is bad enough on its own but needing a web browser and a plugin as well? Not cool

Change is great when its for the better change for the sake of change is fail.

Sorry, I'm not seeing what the big deal is about battlelog and the whole process? I'm fine with it. Seems like I can get into the game quicker than I could on bfbc2.

I'll be honest, when I saw battle log for the first time, I thought this was THE single dumbest thing I've ever seen a FPS game do. It blew my mind how exceedingly arrogant and lazy a company could be to implement such a dumb feature.

However, after playing over the weekend, I have changed my mind and I like Battlelog. I thought it was just a variation of the WoWLauncher or such, but really it's more than that. It seems quicker and less intrusive to find a game, stat pull ups are great, being able to see future weapon unlocks etc.

It seems like a pretty good idea, I think they could have executed it a bit better still, but overall they did a decent job.

Needing a web browser isn't a big deal. I did feel they should at least have it as part of origin (ala the steam server browser), but now I think I'd prefer to have it as a tab in firefox, than to have to use the origin window (which feels slower to me).

I wonder why they don't just install the plugin with the game if it's going to be required, but maybe some independent confirmation is required and that's why they install separately? I'm sure if it was part of the default installer there would be outrage of "OMG BF3 STEALING YOUR WEB DATAZ".

Really it seems like the more I use it and think about it, the better it gets.

If you go to the EA forums, the crying is out of control.

Personally, I like Battlelog. The BF2 browser was painfully slow. BFBC2 limited you to the number of friends you could have and didn't allow you to join servers via IP address.

I just hope all the whiners end up not buying the game. It will probably a lot better playing experience without them.

If you get the IR scope, prone people in the bushes aren't bad. You also need to know the most likely places for the bush camping (middle area and corners near MCOMs). The good thing is that they have very limited vision in the bushes and you don't, so take that as an advantage. Stay far away and look for movement, most times the players drop a med pack/ammo pack and they will talk and give away their position. Stay mobile but in a small area that has an escape route. Knowing when to fall back and regroup is key. Voice COM is a lot better as your squad can fan out and communicate when the push is coming and when to regroup.

Flashlights are too bright but that is fixed for final.

Battlelog is ok, but there are a lot of problems for me and the party invite system. I am also a bit disappointed that the BF2/BC2 squad system doesn't seem to be a priority. However, I do like the battle reports and the ease that you can find friends and join their server right away.

Most of the complaining I see are a bit overblown, and can be solved by thinking it through and adapting to the attackers/defenders style of play. I had to coach people through a match this morning to flank and attack MCOMs. It worked out well: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/battlereport/show/682337/1/174408083/
