Want to reduce crime in a city? Kill everyone living there. Obviously, that will reduce crime, because there will be no one to commit crime.
Of course, there is the qualifying statement the folks above must've missed, "That would be an impossible, ridiculous, and morally reprehensible thing to do, but your crime rate would go down."
It's an apparent fact that yes, legalization of abortion does drop crime rates, not only because abortion is no longer a crime, but as the study he was criticizing stated, there are fewer unwanted children whose parents are forced into illegal activity to support them, and fewer unwanted children growing up in homes with parents who are derelict in raising their children. He paints a false analogy. But what do you expect from a moral compass that points straight to the poker table?
