Well I just got back from 2 Walmarts, Kroger and Meijer and spent about $60 on 50% off candy. 37 items in all.

I think I'm going to write a date each item and not allow myself to touch it until that date. I'm thinking about 1 item per week would be OK so I have enough candy to last up to a year (depends on what my wife claims for herself). I think that might work. I will still probably binge on the item once I open it but at least I will pace myself.

Wow...that's eye opening.

Not surprising. Both food industry and health industry is profit driven. People's health is NOT their incentive. They have no morals.

Heck it wouldn't even surprise me if they BOTH support each other (behind the scene).

I have a problem with binging with everything. I cut myself off most of the time, but if it's in front of me, I'll probably consume it.

Try the slow carb diet if you want to allow yourself to binge a day a week. Basically, eat all beans, lean meats, fish.....vegetables...no dairy except cottage cheese....no bread/potatoes/alcohol.....until you get to your free day. Then eat, drink....whatever and all you want. Read about it....it works.

I have the same problem.
You can't easily ignore evolutionary urges to eat calorie rich foods.

You can't eat what you don't buy. Also, out of sight, out of mind.

Watched the whole video and nothing too revealing there... My LDL and total cholesterol are on the low end of the normal range so I'm not too concerned about that. Cancer risk? Meh, they only indicated that sugar could grow existing cancer not cause it. Sugar acting like a drug? You bet.. That's probably why I crave it so much.

On the plus side I drink next to 0 sugary drinks so I save a bit there.

A low carb diet really will break the addiction. For me, most junk food doesn't even register as food anymore.

I know I have a sugar addiction. Sometimes it's bad, sometimes it's not. I drink a lot of sweet tea, eat chocolate and cookies, all the time. I try not to have it around often, because when I do I have some every day. I'm still thin but I get concerned about diabetes.

I work out more than I used to though, because I hate running.

Unless meat is involved I have an extremely difficult time exceeding 2000 calories a day. I don't understand how people can physically chew and swallow so much food. It's disgusting. I'll admit that when I start eating something I like to continue consuming until completion, but even a medium/large box of candy usually doesn't exceed several hundred calories.

However, if pizza or hamburgers are offered, I can eat a large pepperoni or six 1/3lb burgers in a sitting fairly easily.

All that will happen is you will eat the whole bag on the date listed, then get NO delicious candy until the next day comes up.

Not making fun, I have the same issue with candy. I just avoid going into a store around halloween (I can eat pound of candy corn at a time) and Valentines Day ( I love those little candy hearts.)

I'm 6 feet and 148 pounds and can eat whatever I want. But I also try to walk 5 miles a day and I go to the gym 3 to 4 times a week.

throw it away and take out the garbage.

if you don't have enough willpower to keep stuff in the house and not decimate it, just get rid of all of it.

This is how i am. I can easily resist buying it no problem. So I'm not fat.

I already ate my easter basket btw :awe:

If someone brought home 2 pizzas and a dozen donuts they'd be gone in.... 1.5 days, from just me :awe:

I've noticed other people have self control around junk food. Not me! Get out of the way. :awe:

I legitimately buy none of it though. I eat the whole thing and get sick and regret the entire thing (currently regretting easter basket)
