I'm planning on getting this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16813128078
(GIGABYTE GA-G31M-S2L)
and it may be one of those motherboards that need a bios update to use the new 45nm intel chips, does anyone know if this is indeed the case?
and would this mean that I have to have (i.e. buy) an older processor just to be able to flash the bios to a newer version that's compatible with the 45nm chips? (I plan to get a e8400)
Hoping this isn't the case since I obviously don't wana buy an extra and pretty much useless processor just to get e8400 working.
thanks for any help
