Ken Levine tweeted (everyone is on Twitter these days it seems) that he was,"Excited for tomorrow," and tomorrow will be 7/29/21013. The chances that there will FINALLY be a DLC announcement or some kind of information about the three planned DLC packs is very high I think..

About damn time too! I bought the Season pass so I'm eagerly awaiting the opportunity to explore Columbia again. If anything, it was the City of Columbia with it's strange mixture of utopian and dystopian elements that drew me into the game.
While all of the floating sections of the city in the distance will most likely never be accessible, they should definitely open up some new areas to FREELY exlplore. Extra characters, stories and weapons etcetera are important too, but I want to see more of Columbia! :hmm:
No, we need to go deeperIs anyone else sick of an announcement for an announcement bullshit that has become common placed now? It has gotten so ridiculous that they even make trailers for announcements of announcements.

Well you can blame Irrational for that, for making us wait months to find out any information about the upcoming DLC. Not even a slip, or a minor leak for God's sake.. If the Gov't had such tight control over information as Irrational does, there would never be any leakage of State secrets.
Now with that said, I regret making this thread. You're actually right that it's ridiculous to make an announcement for an announcement, but in my zeal for any information regarding the upcoming DLC, I posted it anyway.
And sure enough, Levine apparently followed up with a second tweet to tell everyone that the pertinent information will actually be released on Tuesday instead D:

Makes sense I suppose, as anything game or movie related typically happens on Tuesday in America for some reason..

I only got 12 hours into the game, and then had no desire to play anymore. Even Bioshock 2, which got a lot of hate, I've finished twice.
I get it that the world is cool, and they didn't spare a dime to flesh it out, but Infinite feels like Bioshock lite, with the combat feeling generic, even with the rail-lines and different enemies.
DLC? Not interested.
How did you get 12 hours in and not finish? You could finish twice in that amount of time.
Do you just rush through your games? I beat BSI in around 12-14 hours.

So where is the announcement ? Or did they need more time to work on the announcement of what they are working on ?
I don't know how accurate this is, but after I beat the game, I checked Steam for the amount of hours logged, and it was nearly 25 hours
I did everything and explored as much as possible, but still, I doubt I took 25 hours to beat the game.
