Bioshock Infinite DLC details announced!

Well after playing some Clash in the Clouds, I have concluded that it's pretty addictive.

The blue ribbon round is really kind of optional, you can still rank up high scores and upgrades.

I did get Seven ribbons so far in the first arena. I don't know how many more I'll get there so I'm going to move on to a different arena.:whiste:

If this game had a amazing multi-player that everyone kept raving about I could understand why they'd put out this add on.. as it is I have to say I think it's crap they're putting this horde mode out there. If I wanted to grind a battle over and over again I'd play something like CoD or Borderlands, I play Bioshock because I want deep interesting storylines that make me think about them after I'm done playing. That's why I bought the season pass when this game came out.. guess I learned my lesson..

Any of you guys that downloaded the DLC notice that your video settings change whenever you load up the game?

For some reason, mine won't stay on ultra. If I start the game, put everything on ultra, exit and start up again, the settings will be on very high rather than ultra.

I too loathe the combat in Infinite -- the overly simplistic inventory/items, and the WAVES of enemies. The waves of enemies was the worst part -- it felt like some CoD mission where I was trying to rack up a high score or worse like Painkiller! Plus where was the strategy? Not much environmental influence (remember all the different turrent types in Bioshock 1?? The cameras?? Placing all the traps and planning??)


Everything else deserves top marks.

On the topic of the DLC I am disappointed that the released DLC is junk but the teaser trailer for the Burial At Sea DLC **MORE** than makes up for the combat DLC. Everyone whining needs to take a deep breath and chill. We waited **SEVEN** years for a true Ken Levine BS successor (BS1 --> Infinite) and I will gladly wait a few more weeks/months for this DLC, cmon man back in Rapture! I will say that I have heard that there is NO fighting in part 1 of the dlc and that part 2 is controlling elizabeth and like a thief/dishonored style so less action and more strategy/sneaking. I also purchased season pass @ $19.99 fig'ing it saves me $10 on the dlc ($14.99/ea!) I want and I get a throwaway combat junk dlc as well.

I didn't buy Infinite, got it free with my gpu...but I was thinking maybe I'd at least buy the DLC if it's any good - definitely not interested in the challenge mode thing though. .

Honestly I was kind of disappointed with the story line of the game, and the gameplay was pretty lackluster as I found myself just sticking to one gun and maybe one magic thing.

I did really like the ambiance of the cloud city though, but it looks like the next (and maybe third?) DLC goes back to Rapture. I wasn't a big fan of 1 or 2 either.

I'd maybe pay for a story line DLC, but at this point it's been like what almost 6 months and is there even a date for that DLC? I've pretty well forgotten about the story, as I didn't care much about it in the first place.

Got a new gaming rig and got Bioshock Infinite with the GPU. Beat it in about 12 hours, and while the game is pretty good, I don't think it's GOTY worthy as many people are saying it is. I'll give marks to the game for excellent art direction, but the story itself is nothing spectacular. The gameplay itself is quite linear. With that said, I now have zero interest in the DLC.

So far this year, my only contender for GOTY is The Last of Us on the PS3.

They missed the boat on this. Loved the game but it's uninstalled now and barring a sweet steam 70%+ off DLC sale next year it's not getting downloaded again.

TLDR: No info, No timely release, game uninstalled after completing story, DLC not purchased...

Couldn't agree more. Space is a premium with all the games out there. They should have released the DLC a month or so after the release of the game, not 8 months (2/3 of a year), later.

Yea..I would disagree that the story is "nothing special". It's at least not another zombie story and it's quite involved. I think many just can't put their heads around it and also get put off by what they consider "inferior gameplay". I found it quite refreshing and thought provoking. It isn't without it's issues, but then...none are.

It seems like they spent so long on properly redoing Rapture that they didn't have enough time to implement a lengthy DLC. That makes me wonder if Part II will be longer since a lot of the work was already done.
