I used a VPN to unlock it a few hours ago. The game is amazing in my estimation. So many cool mechanics and dynamics added. It still surprises/scares you constantly with enemies and the story really draws you in.
I'm generally not that big on single player story driven games, but loved Bioshock 1. This game really is very good  I have no idea how far in I am but I already want to pick up the DLC now because I know what there is will end at some point.
In terms of enemies jumping out how is that? Would you say they just surround you like bioshock 2 ? That's like the only game I had to change difficulty.
Wow check this one out from Aus Gamers via Metacritic:
"I don't know how else to tell you that this is the game videogames were made for. Its the game every other designer wishes they could make. Its a watershed moment for our industry, and Id be hard pressed to tell you that anything that came before is better. More so, however, I cant imagine that anything else, in my lifetime, will top this. All bold statements, I know, but this is it and Im reviewing it. BioShock Infinite is the sort of game we dream of reviewing. Its the Ocarina of Time of this generation (only infinitely better), and will be talked about and analysed for years to come."
According to PC Gamer, you should play on Hard mode.
Couple other setting suggestions in this article, as well.
Hopefully it allows you to change difficulties. I don't want to start on hard and then get owned and get frustrated. Then again, I don't want to play on moderate and walk through.
steam shows it as available to me now but it won't load
wow, spoilers are out on wikipedia and other places...
I just hope there is no funny business with NV hardware in this one.
Why would there be? I don't know of any Gaming Evolved titles that have problems on Nvidia hardware; Bioshock itself is a simple Unreal Engine game that doesn't use any fancy effects that would cause brand-bias. In fact Nvidia just released a new driver today that should provide a nice performance boost in the game.
I know Tomb Raider was an exception, but even then, Nvidia was fairly quick to release updated drivers.
Maybe its a new tactic. I dunno, I just want to play the game with no BS. Looks like I can play it now, so I'll find out soon enough.
