Good luck on that one, Blizzard games are notoriously slow to drop in price. I wouldn't expect it to drop in price anytime soon. Soonest that you may see a price drop would be sometime late next year.

You need to wait for something like gogamer.com sale of this game, I remember getting some great games that cost about 40-50 for like 30 when they go on sale there. If you want it now, well just have to cough up the cash.

BTW, their sale is called the 48hr madness.

Warcraft III is still $26. I suppose SCII might hit $40 this year, but I wouldn't expect anything better than that.

Seriously? This is the first holiday season for the game, so there's little reason for a price drop. The people that REALLY wanted it and had money bought it already, now the people that really wanted it but don't have money will ask somebody else to buy it for them (read: kids).

I'd be shocked if it got to even $40 until the next one is out.

Seriously? A price dropped for Starcraft 2? Who said the price for starcraft 2 wouldn't drop by the end of this year? I have lots of games to play and can patiently wait for the price to drop. The only people that I know that make assumptions are kids (read: you). Wait is it Black Friday!!!?

Um, those who argued that there won't be a price drop meant the MSRP won't drop, which it won't for quite some time. However, there's nothing preventing these temporary sales.

Starcraft 2 is in the top 5 PC games released in 2010, if not across all gaming platforms this year. Definitely a contender for GOTY. So it would make no sense for Blizzard to drop prices on this game just yet. :biggrin:
