Here is what I know:
It tests integer and floating point performance.
It does not use AVX, AVX2, or FMA3.
Yes, that are the 2 general parts in pure calculation performance of a cpu, however, these 2 can be calculated in different ways, long/short integer and others. It is too much to explain in public, plus most people don't really need to know what's going on before they're benching. I'm trying to explain it in the simpliest way without writing a whole document about it.
As stated in the information, we use every instruction possible, since the program is 32bit, the instruction sets AVX, AVX2 and FM3 are automatically disabled.
AVX2 is hardly used by the current programs/games, our statement is not to test what your cpu is really capable of, but to test its real-world performance.
A 32bit version now offers the most accurate score, when the programs are starting the AVX2 instruction set, we will go back to 64bit.
And if you read whole official test, you will see that the most important things to understand what every digit means are mentioned.
