Bleak Ramadan for Palestine

At a certain point, say after 50 or 60 years, you cease to be a refugee. If you can't make peace and arrange to become a nation after this long, pull the plug.
I think the withdrawal of economic support is years too late in coming.

I remember reading an article where a fairly well-off Palestinian stated that he lived in the public housing (free) even though he had a job and could afford to rent a place.
I think this welfare mentality has allowed them to devote too much time and effort to
anti-israel activities, instead of economic activity and work to support their families.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with cutting off aid. It is the fact that Israel has been withholding Palestinian taxes and looting their financial institutions that I consider indefensible.

But you cant ignore the fact that Africa IS a pretty fvcked up continent (Depending on the country you look at).

Actually, the average US citizen works more hours than almost anyone else... We beat the japanese a few years ago.

Its just that the minority fat and lazy makes the US looks bad.

Yeah, that was my point...there is something wrong with people who can't distinguish between being happy because something is good for their side and because something is bad for the other side. And no, those two things are NOT the same. Most people cheered dropping the atomic bombs on Japan because it meant the end of the war, you'd be cheering because all those Japanese died...there is a big difference.

I have never heard of looting of the financial institutions (as if they actually have any).

Most of the people I know who do 14 hour days down at the office, 6 days a week are overweight, stressed out and have zero family life

Nothing is showing up in the link except the local front page.

If there is a bank of Palestine (or such) then why are funds having to be routed through Israeli banks.

One would also question the viability of such a Palestinian bank if their esteemed leader was unable to keep his skim in it, but needed to put it in Western countries financial institutions?
