7MM Remington Magnum is nasty if you want to crush things at range, almost wish I had not sold my Gold Medallion. Is hotter than a 30-06.

But if you aren't hunting Elk at 1500+ yards or something, not a real reason to have one hanging around.

Not sure if this is the right round, but isnt this the 7mm that has long range and a very flat trajectory?

It's an excellent hunting round here in the West with a very flat trajectory over normal hunting ranges, out to 300 yards. It kicks like a mule making it unsuitable for a lot of follow up shooting in a short range mass murder scenario. It's not a military cartridge.

was he one of the guys wearing gas masks, body armor, and an ar-15 sling across his back during the rally/protests when cops started getting killed?

No, he is a very prominent BLM activist who ran for mayor of Baltimore, and just got arrested last night in Baton Rouge during the protests.

If you can readily buy a weapon that can easily mow down a bunch of trained, armed policemen then something's wrong. Not everyone who wants a gun will use it responsibly, and it's sad that there are a lot of bad apples on all sides who cause harm with them and ruin it for the rest, but it is ruined for the rest. It's why we don't allow people to walk around with bazookas or wielding knives. Yes they could be used for defense, but some angry/jealous/nut-job/suicidal/racist fool will ruin it for everyone else, and again it is ruined. But no, that's a sales opportunity!

These semi-automatic/assault style rifles (AR-15, MCX) are built to be able to shoot as fast as a finger can pull, and keep doing that through many rounds with advanced cooling. We want these on the streets?

Okay lets build the perfect killing machine and use fear to sell them as tools of defense. Of course some will be bought by bad guys, but that's okay because the havoc they wreak will only serve to sell more guns (in general) as will the political reaction.

Gun manufacturers are laughing hard on the blood of many all the way to the bank. Searing, penetrating, white-hot greed.

You do realize the largest mass murder by an individual American in modern times was not done with guns, right?

The 3rd largest that I know of was also not done with guns, and was done in 1927.

Guns are in the #2 spot now.

My Remington 30-06 semi-auto fires as fast as the finger can pull too, delivering a much more lethal projectile. Got a scope on it too, making it suitable for a long range hit. I'm a good shot too. Quit sucking off what the media tells you! I have things that will kill you much deader and faster than an AR-15 or MCX. Fucking libtards. SMH!
The bottom line is, if someone wants you dead, you will be killed, guns or no guns. Now go shudder off to a safe space, as you don't deal well with reality or truth.

And it's been put into service as a sniper round. OMG, that makes it bad, right?

I'm really starting to feel that people who can't accept our culture of patriotism, self defense rights, our American traditions, our holidays and our American values, really need to go try and fundamentally transform another country to their liking. We've had enough. If some people hate it here and don't want to be part of US, then kindly get the fuck out, rather than try and undermine our country. I'm 58 years old and my guns have only killed animals for food, at my command.

I have some, which would be used for self defense, in the event the need arises. Kick down my door and try and disarm me, you'll be full of holes, bleed out in my living room, and I'll be getting new carpet on Thursday. Yeah, it's like that.

Why don't they have all the same rights as you do to make their home country a place they like better? Don't you think declarations like yours undermine our country?

First we get mealy mouthed accusations of un-Americanism, a la Joe McCarthy, then the usual repressive govt/ self defense fantasy a la Charlton Heston & Wayne LaPierre.

Which is all supposed to be representative of the romanticized Real Murica of the past. You know, back when men were men & sheep were nervous.

I'm curious.....what holiday upsets you that's changing? Couldn't be Christmas and faux "War on Christmas", could it? A holiday that is, at best, the second most important "holiday" generated from Christianity...hint: Easter is the most important holiday--foundation of the Christian belief system. You know....Christ's death and resurrection. As Paul put it succinctly in 1 Cor. 15:14, 17--- “If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, and your faith also is vain…. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.”

So, are you up in arms about Easter being dominated by a bunny rabbit, chocolate, eggs and almost completely secularized as much as you are upset about Happy Holidays becoming trendier than Merry Christmas?

Micah Johnson apparently blacklisted by black-power groups as "unstable."

DALLAS — Micah Johnson sought to join a black militant group two years before he targeted white police officers for death but was turned away after a background check.
After being sent home from Afghanistan for stealing women’s underwear, Johnson was discharged from the Army in late summer 2014 just as the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner were energizing the nascent Black Lives Matter movement. With his Army identity shattered, Johnson then sought a new one in the black power movement by joining one of several groups that believe in armed resistance against white society, especially police.

Before he could join, though, a tipster asked a man in the Dallas-area movement to screen Johnson for involvement in black activist groups.

Ken Moore of the Collective Black People’s Movement (CBPM) said that he was asked to look into Johnson by an unidentified black activist group. When he discovered the Army veteran was discharged for sexual harassment, he labelled him “unfit for recruitment.”

Malik Shabazz, former chair of the New Black Panther Party, told The Daily Beast that the background check system described by Moore effectively blacklisted Johnson from membership in black nationalist and black liberation groups across the country.

“Once you’re blacklisted by the alert that we put out, that’s a wrap,” Moore told The Daily Beast.

Yes, but they support his fantasy of what Murica really is.

What America truly is = the right to be armed so that if need be you can resist the immoral acts of democratic mob rule. People want arms for the same reason North Korea wants nukes - they help guard against forceful imposition by the U.S. government upon others.
