BOINC Climate.net started over?

Okay, I am new to Climate.net and after working through about 10 years of the model and roughly 20% complete, everything just started over with a new model. Is that how its supposed to work? I seem to be getting credit for everything. I know this is probably a noob question, but I haven't done DC since RC5-64.

My only experience with the Climate Prediction.net project has been the non-BOINC version, so I can't really help you I'm afraid. You are correct though, that you should still get credit for any of the work that the machine was able to crunch through.

I know that some times a model may encounter such extreme parameters that the model itself become unreasonable and it will then cease that workunit and then move on to the next. Probably happens to everyone periodically - I've had a couple of those.

You'll get credit for whatever how much you did. Sometimes models just turn into ice balls or fire orbs, that's perfectly normal. But you still should consider a few things, if that happens more often to you. Are you overclocking? Is your system really 100% stable, and I mean at least 48 hours Prime95 stable? I haven't seen any other DC project by now that reacts as sensitive to a bad overclock as CPDN does.

Hmm, -5 error, this is AFAIK the most common error in CPDN, and can be due to machine-problems, especially if you overclocks, but also due to wu crashing so if not multiple crashes most likely a wu-problem.
