Rules are like last year. (Except last year, they had to cut the then new Steeplechase short to 5 instead of originally planned 7 days — I don't remember why [edit: 7 days of SiDock were planned but there was a geoblock in place between Russia and Ukraine, so it got replaced by MilkyWay crammed into the last 5 Pentathlon days] — and this year they intend to run Steeplechase for 7 days.)

Due to budget and power requirements, Not sure I can be "all in" but I will try and contribute. When is it again ?

So 14 days or 1/2 month. My last electric bill was $1150 when I had all my boxes going, and that was 7 days. THIS is my problem. I could have a $2000 electric bill.

There's a good chance PG will be one of the projects (as it has the past 4 years) but I don't think all the other projects push the power budget as like PG.

Right now I have 10 boxes boing, but only 6 video cards running F@H. and nothing is running PG until yesterday when I started playing with PG on the Turin. Electric bill this way was $750.

No team has even won 4 in a row. Only 3 in a row has been achieved. We're one of the teams who have won 3 in a row. Going for a 4 straight win will be a Pentathlon first.

4 straight wins in championship games of major sports has never happened either. Only 3 consecutive wins and even that's fairly rare. So getting 4 in a row in something as major as this event within' our community would be huge.

With that being said. I plan to sweat it out and run everything I've got plus the kitchen sink, toaster, microwave and anything else I can cobble together.

That being the case..... I rarely cache or bunker. I have 5 4090s, 4 4080s, 6 9554's (well one is slower, a 9534) a Turin and a 9654. Oh, and 5 7950x, and a 7950x3d I think and a 9950x.

If there is any way I power then up, 2 more 7950x and 2 3090TIs.

IF I can run then all, you need to tell me where to put them and when. Remember, rarely bunker, not good at it and changes to config are slow.

I'm down to participate. I have 2x 2400GE's (Lenovo Tiny's) and a 5700G (Asrock X300) I can run 24/7 for the competition duration. Power is a bit expensive here though so I'll have to wait until the last minute.

The marathon was announced, it's the Mapping Cancer Markers subproject on World Community Grid. Task deadlines are 6 days so we're good to start running it now.

More than half of those are since before1pmwhen skillz posted.

Now I can't get a bunker of 1000 like the older machines. But its up and giving units.

Not that it will be the project, but it has been dependable for months now.

From my experience with the project, its been hard to get work until you are a "trusted computer".That may have been relaxed if they were told to expect a flood of requests ????

It's hard to get a lot of work until you are a "trusted computer". I wasn't getting any tasks at all for awhile.

the ones with low total tasks are new computers, that I turned on today. This supports that statement.
