Thanks guys, I guess I'm in the right place for now.

I found a simple way to run F@H on a remote system, I think, I'm testing it now
What happened when you tried to run F@H on a remote system? Why was it not successful?
1 - No, I generally avoid beta testing DC projects (well, then I must be gamma testing S@H/BOINC, hmm?)
2 - Cool, please keep us updated on how it works out.
3 - F@H, as you know, has difficulty caching workunits (well, you can with the Timeless Tinkers, but controlling when it does its network access in a way that is unobtrusive to the people who use the computer is not something I've discovered how to do yet - in other words, I can't have it popping up a "can I dial out now" box just anytime). This machine can only be connected to the internet when I'm there to temporarily initiate a dialup connection to the account that I normally use at home (the rest of the time, this PC operates with no network connection). I'm sure I could find a way to set up F@H on it, but BOINC looks like it would be a bit simpler to manage, and that's important as I'm staying very busy right now with other things (RC5-72 would be even simpler, but we don't need to get into a discussion about my opinions on the usefulness of that project here).
