Bootup problems, help!!!

Hey guys, i can't seem to bootup my computer... after it finishes the windows bootup screen, it hangs. I know it's one of the .vxd files or maybe something else it loads that is causing this... does anyone know of any programs to help me diagnose this?

Duron 700 (unoverclocked)
Abit Kt7a Mobo
256 Megs Infineon RAM
Quantum 30 GIG 7500 RPM HD
TNT 2 Pro
SB Live Value OEM

I haven't installed any new HW recently. Software i'm not sure of those, but when i did the step-by-step confirmation boot, it would hang after loading some norton antivirus/norton utilities .vxd files. So i removed those, and it still hung up! (i think it does it on some file called lmouse something, forgot the extension).

the more info you give, the better our chances of helping you... what version of windows? are you overclocking? have u recently installed any hardware or software?

Reinstall Win98 without reformatting the hdd.

you could just try uninstalling the norton application you are running
