for me a 6600gt is the min i could stand to be with, meh, i was at one stage happy with my fx5700, untill i shelled out 3 month savings (poor student me ) on the 6800ultra, which turned magically into 7800gt (well the magic of knowing how to RMA  And the 6600gt i found at a local shop for cheap cause it had no box, the 9600xt i bought for 50% cheaper than a new fx5200 from a second hand shop. So all the new good parts go into my first comp, all others are a combination of good deals i found.
Just to be inline with the thread, ur 9200 is shiz

What games (aside from Hitman: Blood Money and maybe a couple of others) can a 9200 not play? FEAR runs great.

Thats not the point, buy a 7900gtx or a x1900xtx and use it for a few months, with all the quality etc. Then see if the games look the same on the 9200, i bet u will not be able to bear looking at it, it will look that awful.
U get spoiled with good gfx card. My fx5700 and 9600xt is shiz so u dont see me complain
I got spoiled by the 6800ultra, took 3 months of saving to buy, darn that card was good, got my 7800gt as replacement for it (for free ) So i havent spent over 200 bucks for a gfx card for 1.5 years. The 6600gt costed 200 dollars australian (which is good most are 270 bucks) and the 9600xt costed 50 bucks (new fx5200 costs 70 - 100 bucks :Q).... the fx5700 costed 300 bucks 3 years ago(first card i bought). Had a fx5200 which i killed twise , and the 6200 which i gave away. Oh and the 9200se which was so cr@p i returned it within half an hour.

You're a graphics card whore.
I've bought three cards in the past 9 months, about $900 all together. I've probably got a GTD by now. (Graphically Transmitted Disease)

In other words, you're an addict? I played with highest settings for a good while (Mafia, Deus Ex, and other games of that era) and never really felt an urge to waste my money in such a horrific fashion.

Wait!! Wait right there!! I'm gonna call CNN right away so that the whole world can know that you don't care for high quality graphics!!!
Seriously guy, WhoTF cares if you don't like the "horrific fashion" (which doesn't really make sense cause last I checked my hardware isn't that "scary" and "horrifying") Its hardware dude, why is that "horrific"?
Just a side note: Did you know that the way you spell "ever" in your sig is the same way a fudge packer says it?
(Go easy on my comments, it is a flame thread afterall. No "real" offense dude)

The problem is that it focuses too much attention on graphics instead of gameplay. There's a reason that hordes of mainstream idiots are starting to game and it's because of people like you. :| :| :|
(None taken, of course. )

Weren't you in an advanced English class in high school?
First we need to all have a common ground of what "gameplay" is. Is it being able to control your character and surroundings very realistically? Is it having options and controls available to you that compliment the game as well as make the experience fluid? Is it both? Is it being able to do anything you damn well please aside from the main "objective(s)" in a game? There are many definitions of what gameplay is and it depends from person to person. Once we are all talking about which state of gameplay is degraded by graphics instead of enhanced, then we could begin reasoning on a common level.

Far Cry and Mafia were both beautiful at the time and they both contained some great gameplay. Unfortunately there's still games like Doom 3, Halo, Quake 4, and others that focus on graphics purely.
