The company I work for owns two Brother HL-5140s. Just yesterday, we noticed that both printers ironically do not print anything on the paper when we print something. The machines sound like they are fine and they run the paper through like normal. Only trouble is nothing is being printed on the paper. We did the suggestions via the website (clean the drum with the sliding tab at the top, shake the toner, etc...) and nothing.
We went ahead and replaced both the drum and toner unit with a new set all together for both machines. Unfortunately this did not do the trick. We called Brother's support line and we didn't get much accomplished with them either. We did a test that the machine has where you can print a test page that's done without being connected to a computer. Again, same result. Nothing was printed on the paper. Sometimes when we print we vaguely get some letters at the top like it's running out of toner, but then the rest of the page is blank.
Question is why all of a sudden is this type of situation happening? Is there really a way to fix this?
