I tried the game, I ended up having to take a break after every 'segment' since it really wasn't involving nor was it challenging really. I think at this point I might just resell it on eBay or something.

At least CoD4 took a different route, and it was more than about time, I still think that the original CoD is the best WWII FPS there is but I don't think we ever needed two others (CoD3 on the 360), but yes that's just me.

Did you know that COD 5 is going back to the WWII theme?

I thought COD5 isn't even being talked about now? The game "Call of Duty: World at War" is not COD5, it uses the COD4 engine and is being made by different people (who made COD3). I haven't heard anything about COD5 yet.

Question about this Brothers in Arms game, how is it online? Can me and my brother duke it out with 1 squad against 1 squad (with our own ai?).

I have it for 360 and it is fun. The suppress and move thing is kinda new as opposed to run and gun. It isn't revolutionary, but is a fun game. Probably worth buying if you like the series and/or genre.

That is exactly what I resorted to doing after the first level or two in both BIA games. Ya, you're suppose to flank while your team covers you, but it's just so much easier to just crouch, peer around cover, then pop heads as they come up like wack-a-mole. The only time I flanked after the first few levels was when I forced myself to, just so I could change the pace a bit.

Picked it up late sunday and couldn't stop playing it. Although it was still the same suppress and flank routine the better graphics and environment details made it much more engaging. The destructible environment also helps prevent you and the enemy from camping in the same spot just taking shots. The weapon accuracy is a lot better too but what gets me sometimes is an enemy taking several hits to the upper body from a M1 before dying. The slow motion head shots or grenades blowing bodies in pieces is pretty cool too.

And about not needing your squad I'd have to disagree. There were plenty of battles where the germans were widely spread out and you needed the cover fire to move effectively. Even when one or two groups of germans were suppressed I was still getting hit pretty frequently while moving from the other groups. Their accuracy was sufficient enough to take down germans on the move or not behind cover but not to where they were getting all the kills.

I think the only thing missing is a co-op mode. You having control of one of your squad while your buddy controls his would have been great.

If you have some patience and play sims you probably will have a good time whilst playing it.
Everyone compares it with the CoD series, well you can't. CoD is not a Tactical Shooter, its run-n-gun kill everyone in front of you. BiA is definitely not like that.
Try waiting for the demo if you don;t want to buy it yet.
I love BiA, my fav WW2 series(CoD1 and 2 where awesome. MoH too).

When you kill a German you can also see how he drops like a real person drops when they get shot, stuff like that makes it awesome.

you must be playing a different game because there is very little destructible cover in HH. 90% of the time i keep my squads in the same spot and very rarely does the enemy move.

BIA isn't run-n-gun for the most part, but it sure isn't tactical.

Now ghost recon was tactical . Overall, this game is ok, fairly good play except its not worth the retail price. Maybe bargain bin? 9.99-19.99, then buy it.

**Just a heads up**

This game has 2 very serious bugs.

1. If your My Documents folder is not in its default location (C:\My Documents and Settings...) the game will not save your progress correctly even though the game says "Checkpoint Saved". Also when you go and try to create a new profile it says that the profile already exist and won't let you create a new one no matter what name you give it.

I didn't find out about this until having to start all over twice.

2. This issue seems to be related to ATI video cards on the Black Friday mission. The mission starts off with a cut scene but the screen is black, you can't see anything but the sound still plays. Once the mission starts my PC froze for a few seconds and automatically rebooted. After getting back into Windows there will be the message "....has recovered from a serious error." All missions before that plays fine though.

I'm just wondering HTF did these bugs get past QC and testing?

The game is pretty fun, game play is decent and it has some nice cut scenes. I like how the game really gets you to 'know' the characters.

2. I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, i thought it was my computer

I thought it was the ATI 8.10 drivers, it only happens in this game

same issue here as well. using dual ATI HD4850s with 8.10 drivers. couldn't see the cutscene, but i was able to get into the game and play a bit of that mission, but never enough to get very far. one time all of the sandbags were a bright shining white color and one time my gun was transparent. sometimes the menus would work or the screen would go black but i could see certain parts of the HUD.
