haha i think he meant Eric. I told my roommate who is a huge browns fan, and he doesnt seem too excited. I believe the actual text back was "Well, there goes another season". I on the other hand dont see it as too horrible of a thing, I dont think that he should have gotten fired in the first place IMO
Congrats. He was 23-25 at New York. One good season, one bad and one mediocre. One playoff appearance (lost). I can't imagine he would do worse than RC but Cleveland needs a few more studs if they want to go anywhere. Mangini is as good as anyone else available so it's not a bad move.
LOL, I was just thinking this is great news for the rest of the AFC North's fans. I don't see how Mangini is going to offer anything different, just another coaching change in the ever changing world of the lackluster Browns.
"Let's fire our coach before our franchise QB has had a chance!"
from one former patriots defensive coordinator in crennel (that actually called plays on d for the pats) to another that didn't call plays. good stuff.
I'm not familiar with him but he totally choked during the Seahawks game. He had a better than 50/50 shot at a field goal but because he was pissed that they got a penalty he overreacted and sent the punt team in. I remember the announcer saying that that kind of a move is what costs head coaches their jobs, and indeed it did.
Failure is written all over this. Who the hell hires a Head Coach before hiring a GM? Oh, only a dumb owner. So, when the GM is hired, he needs to agree to keep Mangina instead of hiring the people he wants, smart.
