BSOD while installing Windows XP

I'm installing XP on a newly built system. I had been getting tons of errors adn problems, so I copied the i386 file to my hard drive and installed that way. It took forever, but it finished copying all the files for XP and told me to restart to continue with setup. Well, it starts back up and gets to the point where it asks me if I want to convert to NTFS file system, and I choose yes, and then it starts doing whatever it does after that, but gives me a BSOD all of a sudden. A couple of times the bsod read "page_fault_in_nonpaged_area"

Any help, please.

have you tried different RAM in the system?

these problems occurred w/ 2 diff sticks of ram in....

Try removing one of the sticks of memory and trying to reinstall the OS. If that doesn't work, try the other memory stick by itself.

This is all assuming that you are not trying to OC.
