BSOD!

I recently purchased a rig and started having trouble with it a few days after buying. I get a BSOD that seems to be appear randomly. I have gotten it while browsing, gaming, and while system is sitting idle.

MOBO: Asus P7P55DE-E Lx
CPU: Intel i3 X4 3.20ghz
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1800mhz
GPU: Evga Gtx 460 1 GB
PSU: 700 Watt Green Power

I got the DMP file but do not know how to open it or the best way to show it to everyone. Instructions on this would be nice .

We need more specs on the RAM, Vendor, part number number and size of each module etc.

Alright I got AppCrashView but have no idea what I am looking for. Last time computer crashed I was playing Fallout and I see the fallout fail but not the system crash.

What's your hard drive? I've heard of F4 error being caused by Sandforce SSDs.

Pete I did not build the system. I am running DDR3 2x 4GB sticks. One is a Ripjaws Z, my computer is updating at the moment so I cant get in to check full specs on the other.

The reason I am harping on the memory thing is I want to check if it is on the QVL (Qualified Vendors List) for your mobo. I would suggest, once you are done updating, download and run CPU-Z, it will give you all the specs on your rig, cpu, memory brand and model number, speed etc. Then check and see if both modules are on the QVL. You can go to the ASUS support website for your mobo to get the list, it's a .pdf file.

The wrong memory installed can cause all sorts of problems.

Will do pete. My mobo has a ram ok button, that i believe checks and makes sure everything is compatible with the ram but I will double check to make sure.
