Build Help Needed...

Ok, so I have:

A64 3000+,
Foxconn 755A01 Motherboard,
Antec Sonata Case,
and a Zalman CU7000 HSF

When trying to assemble the board, the Zalman instructions say to connect the mounting nipples to the "Motherboard Backplate". I don't seem to have such a backplate and so I am confused. Has anyone heard of this before? If you have, would this "backplate" have come with the MB, the proc, the case, or the HSF?

they are the holes on the case where the motherboard will rest.

it just means the back of the mobo.

Well I believe that nipple is the correct term here but I digress... At any rate, I don't think it is just the case since

a) it explicitly calls it a back and draws a picture indicating a small plate underneath the mobo
b) there are no standoffs which would allow me to mount directly to the case

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

I think that link is to the 7000A HSF. I actually have a 7000 and was not able to find a similar photo for the 7000 package. Does anybody have any idea where I might find a contact number for Zalman?

hi,
most motherboards come with a mount for the stock hsf that would come with a retail processor (my aopen ak86l did). it is a metal plate with two threaded tubes that stick through the holes in the motherboard and mounts to the back with double sticky foam. did your motherboard come with anything that looks like that?

Unfortunately, there was no plate with the motherboard either...I guess I just need to know who should be responsible for supplying it so that I can call and get one. I wouldn't expect that you could buy one anywhere, right?
