Ok trying to get this to under $600 or as close as I can before shipping. Any suggestions? Thought LCD's used to be cheaper but maybe been so long sense I bought one I am remembering wrong. :/ Only getting 2GB ram now hoping DDR3 prices drop over the summer.

Bah made it public but still not work, anyways here the parts. If I can locate what happened to my older 10+ year old pc I may reuse the case from that instead but otherwise listing all new stuff. Just want it to play some source games and some other steam games that arn't to demanding, lotro, darkfall, and maybe Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2. Also might leave out the HDD and just use one mine from this PC in it.

Are you checking for combo deals? I usually piece together stuff on newegg for fun, and I have built more capable systems (w/ monitor) for the price.
Also, check out your local Best Buy, Ive noticed mine have had good deals on some 19-23" LCDs...surprised me actually.

Well have to wait till my tax return comes in next week so seems that offer for the monitor will be gone by then and didn't really want to spend that much on a monitor right now either. I thought my mobo and cpu were part of a combo but think the combo ended a few days ago lol. Will have to check again once I get the money to order.

Might just now after thinking about it ordering am AM2/AM3 mobo that support DDR2 and use my current ram with a new PSU, CPU, and Video card. >_>


Ah helps if I added them to my cart as combos...hehe goes down to $625.60 then for all that stuff. Still need to wait and see what happens next week.

What's your current system specs?
What's it not doing that you would like your new system to do (or what new features are you looking for)?

Don't get the Green for use as a boot/OS drive. It's slower than its Blue and Black equivalents. But its low power/heat make it idea for a backup or external drive.

My current system is an old Aspire T180
CPU: Athlon 64 3500+ AM2
Ram: 2.5 GBs DDR2 (upgraded from the original 512 MBs)
HDDs: 160 GBs that came with it and 650 GBs I bought last year I think it was.

Was going to just upgrade the graphics card and psu but then realized my cpu would most likely limit me to much. Would really like to get up to having a dual-core or more but seemed to me getting a Phenom II with a new mobo would be a better upgrade now then putting in one the few Athlon 64 X2 still left.

Just looking to play LotRO and Darkfall at better speeds/graphic settings and also running Source games smoother.
