and maybe
Bit miffed. Had a Duron 700 in a gigabyte board with a seagate 30 gb and a WD 20 gb.SBlive and a herc prophet 2.Decided that a new mobo (KT7A-RAID) and a new proceesor(900Tbird) where the way to go a few months back. Fine great. Had the two hdd's rinning as a raid 0 , losing 10 gb until i could as recommended buy an identical disk to my seagate ata66. This i did , ghosted my system on from several back up cd's, and thought "great here we go with a nice fast 60gb hdd and a nice 20 gb normal one for back up of stuff" ahem.
My raid 0 with the two seagates is measured as an average read speed of 23962kps and a burst speed of 55 mb (which is ok?)
From nosing around it seems this is less than I could expect-about 25% less.
Maybe me whine to much but any advice\comments would be appreciated.
I also added a few powerful fans an have three usb devices running of a hub too.
So is it discs or power? I have a cdrw-dvd-three hdds-an overclocked herc and athlon under a 300w sparkle psu.
