Building a photography website

Is there a particular layout style which is deemed more "used" when it comes to photography site?

I'm building one, but I'm not sure if it's in the same style as most of them.

Have you folks ever built your own photography site? What style are you using?

I just use a simple HTML website that's easy to get good google results with.
