Ok. So I was playing a game, then my computer crashes. The first thing that happened was my monitor went blank, as if it were switching resolutions (I have a CRT) and then it said there was no input signal. I said to myself, "just a glitch" and hit the reset button on my computer. But instead of displayed my mobo screen, it fades in to white/gray. Then, I guess when it switched to loading Windows, it was a bunch of rainbow-colored pixels. At that I reached around to my PSU and switched it off. I think my GFX card is dead.
But, just now when I was dusting out my case, I noticed that my chipset fan was unplugged, and I don't know if I knocked it out while reaching over it while dusting, or if I didn't plug it back in when I reset my CMOS a while back. Now I'm thinking it could be either I have a dead mobo, or a dead GFX card.
Your thoughts?
