I cant handle this, pcgeek makes sense and is reasonable, whats next? Slow comes around and realizes his pres is a crook? World bricks needs realignment.

It’s a good thing, I don’t remember PCgeek being an extreme gun nut but it does appear he hasn’t rethought some things and this is good.
We need guys like him to guide the discussion. Joe Scarborough said it best and is probably similar to PCgeek

Joe grew up in an area where guns & hunting were a father son thing to do together. When older it was a fun bonding thing to do with other young men after they learn how to handle a gun responsibly from their fathers.
I grew up in an area where there was only one place that hunting was allowed, then that one place got over hunted and all the deer were gone. After that it became housing and no place was safe to fire a gun.
I have a very different life experience regarding where it’s safe to hunt or fire a gun than PCGEEK has. The whole country isn’t like it is in PCGEEK’s Home and it’s certainly not like my home. We need regulation that fits both lifestyles and States need to have some control over what Ian not allowed, States that allow more need to ensure their stuff doesn’t end up in a State that doesn’t want it.
Simple but difficult policy items, we need many people to agree on what is appropriate gun control.

The issue with banning "armor-piercing rounds" is that lots of very common rifle calibers will pierce body armor. In fact, most rifle calibers will, and anything powerful enough to legally hunt deer with absolutely will.

Banning "armor-piercing rounds" hinges on the definition of the phrase and it opening the door for some overzealous law-maker to use it as an excuse to ban anything more powerful than a .22LR (an extremely anemic round that is in no way suitable to hunt anything larger than a squirrel with.)

Banning "armor-piercing rounds" is considered by many a feel-good measure that won't actually accomplish much, though I'm sure many anti-gun legislators are hoping it will quietly pass. With the right interpretation it could be a powerful vehicle to make just about anything that will penetrate body armor illegal, which almost all rifles and many handgun calibers do with normal ammunition.

Just like with this bump stock ban, we've already had at least one poster say they now want a fast-finger-on-the-trigger ban. What's next? And that's EXACTLY why many pro-gun folks believe any compromise on new gun control is unacceptable.

All while the next mass shooter with a bump stock is just worrying himself sick over the ban. How will he ever commit all those mass murders now that his favorite gun accessory is illegal?

I don't know why everyone is getting uptight about bump stocks anyway. Full auto IS legal in Nevada. You just need a buttload of special paperwork and lots of time. Same with suppressors.
This guy never had anything against him so he could have gotten it anyway.
Haven't you noticed that? The majority of our recent mass shooters never would have been denied ownership of guns even if somebody did a CIA level check of their entire life. No known medical issues or legal trouble. thats much more interesting than the concept of banning guns outright or special types of guns or specific people or people in general.
