Bush now says he's released all his records...if that's true, then has anyone seen:

* Any pages from Bush's flight log
* Records from the Flight Inquiry Board convened after Bush was suspended as a pilot
* Any evidence of Bush's reclassification into another AFSC after suspension as a pilot
* Any photos of George Bush in a military uniform after 1972
* Anything at all from any Alabama unit with Bush's name on it
* Any copies of form 44a from the Alabama National Guard certifying attendance
* Air Force Form 142 (Aviation Service Audit Worksheet)
* The contents of his UIF (Unfavorable Information File w/results from grounding)
* Anything proving service (not just receipt of pay) by Bush between May 1972 and May 1973?

I don't really care about this, but we can make a sticky in protest if we get mutiple threads on the subject according to the mods.

BTW I only object to making the Swiftboat thread a sticky because it somehow lends legitimacy to the subject. If it isn't a sticky, it will fall off the front page where is belongs.

Do you really want them to be consistent? So far they have made moves much in the favor of Kerry. Yeah, let's talk about Bush's service to this country. From what I have read he spent most of his time helping family cronies get elected.
What I don't get: He seems so gung ho about sending the military in to blow things up, but managed to avoid actually participating when he had the chance. It's a mockery of all the guys getting killed now.

I agree with what john Kerry, Vietnam, and what people did during that era, isn't valid for making political hey.

Interesting read. I wish I was an expert on those documents as to determine if there is any validity to his claims. However, he links to factcheck, which is a reasonably unbiased source, and they say his records back up his claims.

I beleive it is a summary of service, would list awards earned and benefits available(for those that retire).

I guess I don't see where I'm making excuses for Rip? feel free to enlighten me. Allow me to break it down mathematically for you.

Swift boat campaign = A
Rip's campaign = B

Kerry's vehement responses to swift boat campaign = A1
You and other's vehement reponses to Rip's campaign = B1

While A does not perfectly equal A1, and B does not perfectly equal B1, they both are very similar.

Just in case you are curious as to my thoughts on Kerry and the SBVfT, which you seem to be more fascinated with if I'm defending Rip or not, are these:

1) Many vets are extremely bitter about his actions after the war. IMHO, some of their gripes are spot on.
2) Kerry went to Vietnam, did his time, got some medals, and left. Good for him.
3) there is probably some grey area between what they are alleging, and Kerry being a perfect war hero. Some are probably lies, some probably have some truth to them. I don't find any of them relevant to today's issues.
4) I don't doubt he can be any more or less capable commander in chief than any previous president. He's definitely going to be better than Carter if he wins!

Now that I've said that, can you sleep tonight? Or do we need to elaborate more on my feelings about Rip?
