heh......actually, the next DOTD isn't necessarily why I'm writing, but I wanted to make sure that the thread was on topic...

tomorrow (11/16/2000)'s DOTD is scheduled to be a 15 pack of Top Flite golf balls


anyhoo...bigger reason why I'm posting.....look for some changes in the near future to the DOTD system.. at the minimum, it'll fix a lot of the f*** ups that the system keeps having (it's basically a hack done by several unqualified HTML people who just copy and pasted code from other places in the site) and the goal is actually a conversion to deals of the day in which each day has multiple deals rotated daily, probably each day featuring items from a cross section of the stores at buy.com

this all depends on how much time I and the other develoeprs assigned to this are given to rebuild the system. It's abig ass mess though >_< things like the wrong item showing up for a few minutes, wrong item counts, etc. should hopefully get fixed soon though..

we'll see what happens

Here's some feedback you may want to share with the DOTD guru's in your company.

We want another SONY Laptop but this time with DVD and a large screen, hehe, yeah we're never satisfied.

Also DVD deals are nice as well such as The Matrix, Austin Powers, those were all good.

Otherwise thanks for giving us an insight, let's hope that your cover isn't blown.

Yeah I agree with stonerdave today's DOTD was awesome, and it's nice that they didn't run out at 3 or 4 AM PST like usual. I think it lasted until around 12 Noon or also.

IBM T21 PIII 800MHz for around 2200-2400 should be good
