Buying a LCD monitor, suggestions?

As the title says im looking for a new monitor, this is going to be for gaming and movies. I want to get a widescreen between 24" and 32". Looking for the most of my money (arent we all) dont really have a spending limit but lets be reasonable here. Anyway post what you think are the best of personal experiences. Im having a hard time choosing!!!

Agreed. I love my 2005fpw. Fast response time. Beautiful contrast. Wide viewing angle.

For the price, the Dell 2405 maybe the better deal.
With the new Dell 2407, I hope a better price will be available soon.

dell 2407 for 871 bux.. I think i will go with dell, want that 30 inch but the price dif per inch is way to much ya know, same can be said about 19 inch to 24 inch though. ugh

I'm loving my 2007FP (although it's going to be replaced soon with a non-defect one). It's a monster compared w/ my 17"

You could get the 2407 from Costco for $800 shipped. Or, according to this thread, you can get it from Dell for $711.25 plus tax and shipping if you purchase a 25% off coupon on Ebay.

If you haven't already, check out this thread. Dell has its place, and is certainly to be considered if "bang for your buck" is a priority, but there are other comparable, and sometimes better, monitors out there.

Spend some time cruising thru that thread, particularly the first post -- you may find it worth your while.

Any glowing reviews of the 2407? Preliminary reports from random people in Japan were less than positive. I'm curious how it's fared over here.
