Buying house with girlfriend

people posting "get married" seem to forget that not everyone needs to be married when they find the right one.

If you've been together for 7 years, chances are, unless something drastic happens, you will be together much longer. Most likely the mortgage company is going to base the purchase on one income only anyways since you aren't legally married.
