BXBoards.com closing down

It's sad to see that our little world for computer geeks is getting smaller and smaller every day. I think we all have to subscribe to access an internet site that we like in the future.

Sorry to see this happen....bxboards.com played a major role in me getting into building and O/C'ing and realizing there were good alternatives to Abit such as the Soyo BX MB I'm using now (PIII-550@760MHz). Good luck.

It's kind of ironic, I always wondered if the site would be renamed.

Didn't the BX chipset JUST now fall off the Intel roadmap too.

The Overclocking guide was a Bible for a while.

BXBoards.com is the site where I got myself into all these mess

-place I learned about clock multiplier of my old PII 266.
-place I learned about which RAM to buy.
-place I learned about ABIT BH6 + C300 ...........

As for the site's name, yes... we'd been considering changing the name.

We actualy bought BXBhardware.com a few months ago but then the ground fell out... Actually, the timing of UGO's drop in rates was particularily bad for us. Other sites such as aceshardware have also suffered because of UGO dropping rates by 400%. We had just moved onto a dedicated server and traffic was picking up, but Andy and I were both very busy during the past few months too. *shrug*

I've actually fired off an email to Anand about a job. =-)

I too am sorry to hear about BXBOARDS. I was wondering if anyone knows of any easy way to save the whole site to disk in its entirety. It would be nice to be able to keep all of that information for poserterity and reference.

We have multiple backup copies of the site. There is no reason the site has to "dissapear" but Andy and I will probably be moving on...

That's not for sure since at least one company has expressed interest in "funding" and "managing" the site...
