Didn't you get a copy of it w/ your nero suite? If not, you can find it around for less then $10. Just grab an OEM copy of suite 3 (??).

Recode 2 is part of the Nero 6 Ultra Edition Suite. $80 from their site, although you can get a free 30 day trial. Otherwise, do what the above poster suggested and look for OEM copies or previous versions to get it cheaper.

Funny, I used DVDshrink for NON-infringing purposes. About 80 times in a two month period.

<-- converted VHS to DVD, and needed it to make movies fit on 4.7GB disks.

DVD Fab : The new kid on the block.
I used it once so far with a movie that was erroring out in DVDshrink and DVDdecrypter.
It burned the movie like a champ.

I liked DVD Shrink and used it quite a lot. But I get a kick out of people saying "I hate _____ " for them taking away their computer programs. Just like Napster.

I heard DVD decrypter guy had some legal or federal people show up at his door and slap him with papers. That would scare me. But the point is this: if you buy a dvd and it gets scratched, will the company send you another dvd? Yeah, sure. Even if they agreed to replace your DVD they'd hit you with a shipping fee which would be about the same price of you buying a previosly viewed DVD from Blockbuster. Or wouldn't it be more economical to let the buyer make a backup for less than a buck? You can make backups for personal use of software costing hundreds of dollars, but you can't make one of a $20 DVD??

And if you use the reasong if people using dvd software to make pirated dvd copies, then you might as well ban Nero and all the other CD copying software, because they can do the same thing.

People, ban together and don't take this guff. If you let these morons do this, tomorrow you'll have the computer police at your door giving you a cavity exam.

dvdFab is great... worked on a DVD where DVDDecrypter & Fair use kept erroring.

however, I use Fair Use Wiz ~100% time to encode into Xvid

Use DVD Decrypter or other encryption-removing program and rip the disc to a HDD. Use Re-Encode to load the decrypted video and work some editing.
